Day 1: Arrive Auckland

On arrival in Auckland, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight: Auckland

Day 2: Auckland-Waitomo-Rotorua

Today, travel south to Rotorua via the rich pastoral province of Waikato. Enjoy lunch at the fascinating Waitomo Caves. Experience a guided tour of the famous Glow Worm grotto featuring an underground boat ride. Continue on and arrive in Rotorua. This evening, enjoy a unique Maori Hangi (feast) and cultural performance. Overnight: Rotorua for 2 nights (L,D)

Day 3: Rotorua Sightseeing

Today you will experience the many varied sights that Rotorua has to offer. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 4: Rotorua-Queenstown

Fly to Queenstown (flight not included), where you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of your day is free to enjoy at leisure. Overnight: Queenstown for 3 nights

Day 5: Milford Sound Day Excursion*

Travel to Milford Sound and cruise to the mouth of the sound to see seals and dolphins. Return to Queenstown.

Day 6: Queenstown at Leisure

A free day to enjoy the many activities available.

Day 7: Queenstown-Aoraki/Mt Cook- Christchurch

Depart Queenstown this morning and travel into Mt Cook National Park. Take a scenic flight (optional, own expense) over some of New Zealand's finest alpine scenery. This afternoon travel via Lake Tekapo before arriving into Christchurch around 7:30pm-an additional night's accommodation is recommended.
