DAY 1: ARRIVE ADELAIDE

You will be met and transferred by private car to the Fire Station Inn (or similar). Overnight: North Adelaide Heritage Apartments

DAY 2: ARRIVE KANGAROO ISLAND

Transfer by private car to the airport this morning. Fly to Kangaroo Island, where you'll be met and escorted by 4WD to various points of interest. Explore a red gum forest in the Cygnet River Valley-seek out koalas sleeping in the forks of trees. See kangaroos, Tammar Wallabies and endangered Glossy Black Cockatoos. Lunch is a seafood barbecue with South Australian wines. At Seal Bay Conservation Park, see Australian sea lions. The remainder of the afternoon is spent exploring more of the island's southeast region. Overnight: Kangaroo Island* (B,L,D)

DAY 3: KANGAROO ISLAND TO ADELAIDE

Travel to Flinders Chase National Park, home to a unique variety of plants and animals. Visit Rocky River Homestead-originally a small farm and now park headquarters. At Cape du Couedic, visit a New Zealand fur seal colony. Explore Remarkable Rocks-huge natural granite sculptures on the cliff top. Enjoy a picnic of local produce in the bush before exploring more of the extensive wildlife habitat of Kangaroo Island. After your return flight to Adelaide, you will be met and driven to the Fire Station Inn (or similar). Overnight: North Adelaide Heritage Apartments for 2 nights (B,L)

DAY 4: BAROSSA VALLEY WINERIES TOUR

The rich European heritage of Australia is embodied in the lifestyle of the Barossa. Today we spend the morning admiring the panoramic views over the Barossa Valley. Lunch is at an award-winning winery with a local tasting plate. Spend the rest of the day among the vineyards and wineries that make this area so popular and famous around the world. (B,L)
